Data Engineering

Our IT Partners Data Engineering Group (DEG) is responsible for Gies data architecture, design, and data pipeline/workflow operations. The DEG team extracts data from platforms like Banner, Canvas, Slate, Handshake, and Coursera, transforms it to make it usable, and loads it into college databases that power faculty, student, and staff-facing applications and enable our Data Strategy, Analytics, and Reporting team to meet unit data analysis, reporting, and visualization needs.
