Not only is the Gies College of Business brand important to our faculty, staff, students, and alumni, but it's also a key vehicle we use to raise our profile and reputation nationally and internationally.

MarCom has specialists who focus on:

  • Maximizing our potential in the rankings
  • Publicizing good news via social media, news media, and industry publications
  • Responsibly mitigating any challenges to the College’s reputation

Staff actively work to generate news coverage for the College by pitching stories to media. They also monitor what’s being said about the College in the news and on social media, so they react accordingly.

MarCom also works closely with faculty to widely publicize research, student stories, and examples of innovation and excellence inside and outside the classroom.
