IT Partners provides, manages, and supports computer packages to all Gies administrative staff. Our standard computer offerings currently include either

Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q desktop, dual 23/24" monitors, and keyboard/mouse, or
Lenovo Thinkpad T480 or T490 laptop, docking station, dual 23/24" monitors, and keyboard/mouse

The type of package available depends on staff type and job function.

We have a new staff member. How do we get them equipment?

Requests for a computer package for new staff can be made by emailing helpdesk@business.illinois.edu.

I'm eligible for a new computer this year? When will I get it?

All Gies staff will receive a new computer every four years. Our FY20 replacement cycle has been delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis and will resume as soon as staff return from remote work.

I have unique computing needs. Can I get a non-standard setup?

The standard staff computer is a Windows-based laptop or desktop. Staff in creative roles such as marketing, design, or videography can choose an Apple computer. If you have advanced computing needs, please contact us at helpdesk@business.illinois.edu
