Student and Corporate Connections fosters college-wide efforts to ensure student and college success by enhancing the student experience and maximizing corporate partnerships. Centralizing these efforts ensures that the work we do aligns with the strategic priorities of the College, ultimately enhancing not just the student experience but also our reputation as a College, the success of our partners, and the future of business.

Collaboration with faculty and staff ensures students at all levels experience meaningful career and professional development that is integrated into curricular and co-curricular opportunities throughout the College. The skills and experiences students gain provide a pathway for career readiness and success, and help students connect this success to their overall Gies experience.

In order to achieve these goals, Student and Corporate Connections has three offices with distinct responsibilities:

Magelli Office of Experiential Learning

The Magelli Office of Experiential Learning provides opportunities for Gies students to gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects for real clients. Contact the Magelli team if:

  • you know a company or person looking for business solutions, research, or that is interested in sponsoring a project.
  • you know a company or person interested in engaging in the classroom.
  • you’re interested in incorporating experiential learning into a course.
Office of Career and Professional Development

This office develops curricular and co-curricular experiences that provide a pathway for students to develop the skills needed to be competitive in the market and thrive in their careers. Contact the Career and Professional Development team if:

Office of Corporate Partnerships

The Office of Corporate Partnerships maximizes corporate partnerships to meet strategic priorities and add value for both Gies and its partners. Contact the corporate partnerships team if you know of a company interested in any of these four areas:
